Safari's modes of transport

There are several modes of transport get through a natural reserve or park in Africa:

1. On foot - my favourite mode. Obviously not an option when there are big cats.
Where: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
with the Bitukura mountain gorilla family

2. On a bicycle

Where: Hell's Gate National Park, Kenya

3. On a 4x4

Where: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania
Ngorongoro crater
4. On a balloon
Can you spot the hippos in the river?

Where:
Serengeti National Park,
Tanzania

5. On a van
The one and only animal which I spotted before anyone else
Where: Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

6. On a truck

[Just to clarify, I have seen all types vehicles get stuck in a ditch/ mud in the parks. This was actually a highlight of the trip for me – rescuing the truck (ha!) – we got out of the truck, which we otherwise would not be allowed to. We also became a 'tourist attraction' when other tourists stopped to take pictures of us, in a park where leopards are lurking.]

Where: Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya

7. On a school bus
