Discover.

The description of this blog is "Discover. 発掘する", predominantly to document my round the world ("rtw") journey. Despite being prompted by friends to start a blog, I was not quite sure if I should do it. There are many very professionally done up websites by amazing people who have been on their rtw trips for the last 5 years. Jodi Ettenberg from Legal Nomads (http://www.legalnomads.com/) writes brilliantly. Daniel Noll and Audrey Scott from Uncornered Market (http://www.uncorneredmarket.com/) host a website that boasts witty, thought provoking articles and wonderful pictures. In fact, these people are so good, they get invited to appear on television, in seminars, etc. I did not think I have anything to add.

Eventually, I decided to do this for my mum (and by extension, a lot of friends) who is not on Facebook. I hope to discover and learn together with anyone who is reading this -- about myself, travelling in general, architecture, arts, sports, etc.

A lot of people has asked me for my itinerary and my response is, "Ask me next year. I will know the itinerary when I complete the trip. " I intend to plan as I go (which gives me the flexibility to meet friends who decide to travel to somewhere, to move only when I feel like it, to take up suggestions by people whom I meet along the way). Having said the above, I do have a sketchy picture of the general direction of the route because I had to choose some cities when I bought my rtw ticket. I fly from home to Barcelona and the journey will probably look very close to this:
